Racó de les Dones Cove

Racó de les Dones. Sant Antoni de Calonge, Girona. Spain.

Its name means “women´s corner“. It is located in front of the Torre Valentina and is divided with the “Racó dels Homes” (men´s corner) cove. This two coves take their names from the ban issued in ancient times by the mayor of the town, forbidding men and women to bathe together. You can see the machine guns nests of the civil war in the rock formations.
