We are a supermarket chain of proximity with own brands and own market with food, cosmetics and cleaning. Since we opened our first store in Sant Antoni Maria Claret in Barcelona in 1959, we have developed pioneering and unique ideas such as the first loyalty card in the distribution sector in Spain or the “Welcome Baby” basket from which we have already delivered more of one million.
In addition, from our commitment to the family, in the cultural and academic field we support innumerable activities in collaboration with the Palau de la Música Catalana, ESADE and IESE, among other entities. At the environmental level, we work maintaining the balance between our activity and respect for the Environment and we work closely with the Public Administration. Today we celebrate 50 consolidated years as one of the leading groups in our sector.

From the Caprabo supermarket we have a firm commitment to support local companies and producers in Catalonia and Navarra. For this reason, our supermarket was the first to include the official seal “Venta de Proximidad” for the products that came directly from the field.
The objective of this seal is that the consumer benefits both from the quality and from the price and that he also knows that by acquiring this product he favors the producer and, consequently, the local economy. The existence of products of proximity in the Caprabo supermarkets implies a reduction of the ecological footprint, and makes more visible a product of fresher quality and with an added value for the consumers.
