Overview
It is the main beach of Tossa de Mar. The silhouette of the “Cap de Tossa” and the walled enclosure of the old city, in the south, makes this beach one of the most known of the Costa Brava. Only the views are worth the visit. Not without reason, the National Geographic magazine rated this beach as one of the 25 best in the world in the classification that it elaborated in 2013. With a half-moon shape and about 400 meters in length, the sand extension also stands out for its wide, which leaves space for bathers, as well as services and small boats stranded in the sand. Although parking nearby in the summer is not an easy task, the environment is worth it. The promenade connects the entire stretch of beach and reaches the access to the old city. The beach has been awarded with Blue Flag. Be careful, noteable depth a few meters from the shore.
